Are you ready for a Challenge?

To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and being part of the Commonwealth, SAGF UK has worked together with National Scout and Guide Fellowships from some of the Commonwealth country members of ISGF to create the Commonwealth Together Challenge.

From Kiwi Pavlova to Kenyan bead bracelets, Canadian landmarks to Australian sporting legends, there are a variety of activities to help you get to know more about the customs and traditions of the Commonwealth countries. There are also challenges to take action on some of the environmental issues that are facing us all around the world, such as reversing habitat loss for endangered animals, or contributing to the Queen’s Green Canopy by planting a tree for the Jubilee.

We have designed a special badge for the Challenge, and the profit from the badge sales will go to the Scout and Guide Associations in Tonga, another of the Commonwealth countries, to help them rebuild Scouting and Guiding after the devastation of the recent volcanic eruptions.

Badges can be ordered via email from challengebadges@sagf.org.uk and are £2.50 each plus P&P (£1 for single badges to UK addresses, P&P for bulk or overseas orders on request).

Single page Achievement Record that you can print off and complete to track your progress.

We hope you will take up the Challenge and involve your family, friends and local Scouting and Guiding groups in some of the activities – by joining together we can make a difference, and can inspire the younger members of Scouting and Guiding to learn about the international family that we are all proud to be part of.

We would love to hear from you about the project you do for the “Working Together” section of the Challenge, so we can showcase your achievements in the SAGF UK newsletter.
